Michigan Independent Power Producers Association (MIPPA)EnStar provides the staff for the Michigan Independent Power Producers Association (MIPPA). MIPPA is an association of independent energy generators, businesses, organizations and individuals who have an interest in independent power production in Michigan. The Association was formed in 1997.
MIPPA's aims include:
- Promotion and support of the common interests of independent power producers with facilities under development and operating in Michigan
- Protection of the facilities owned and operated by its members
- Enhancing the role of independent power producers in today's generation market
- Maintaining the viability of renewable energy
- Educating its members about the local and national electric industry
